SILK Empowered wants to fill the gaps within the system of programs provided to victims of domestic violence, the first goal is to provide them with educational classes in building their self esteem and worth.  Second, SILK Empowered provides a transitional housing program.  The eventual goal for SILK Empowered is to help the women in the joy and independence of owning their own homes.
