OUR MISSION
SILK Empowered Mission: SILK Empowered creates safe and loving environments for women and their children who have suffered domestic violence abuse.  We empower our clients to transform their lives by participating in programs focused on building Strength, Independence, Love and Knowledge (SILK) resulting in eventual homeownership.

OUR VISION

SILK Empowered aims to break the cycle of domestic violence by empowering every woman in the United States to have self-confidence and self-sufficiency to ensure loving family environments.

Ripple Effect of SILK Empowered:

• Clients live more independently with the freedom needed to create a new life for themselves
• Creates a safe and more loving home environment for children
• Stops the continued cycle of domestic violence through generations
• Strengthened family unit moving forward
• Increased self confidence of women transfers to their kids/grand kids who also benefit; benefit by example
• Women learn a new way of thinking that transforms their thought process and therefore their post-abuse actions
• Independence from the domestic violence cycle
• Clients receive love and learn to love themselves in the process
• From this new loving place, they want to return that kindness to others
• Their new self-knowledge about their talents, skills or forgotten dreams through the Vision Board and Strength Finder classes allows clients to realize their full capacity  
• Increased awareness in our community of the gap in current services provided by domestic violence organizations and the continued need for support and education
