EDUCATION PROGRAMS
SILK Empowered offers educational classes covering the following topics: Financial, Relational, Mental, Physical and Spiritual Health.  The classes can and will change depending upon the needs; guided by the local shelter facilities and what is not required by government funds.  We will also assist in the cost of programs that the women may benefit from that are provided within the city, as they become available.

• Vision Boards - Fun interactive class where making a vision board where the women can start thinking about their dreams and where they’d like their lives to go.  This class will be taken at the beginning of the program, and again at the end of the six months.  In the class at the end of the six months, there will discussions about the changes they already seen while in the program.
• Money Magic - Based on the book ‘Money Magic’ is an opportunity to explore clarity, structure and support in looking at the practical, spiritual and emotional dynamics of our current relationship with money and begin to align our needs with our purpose.
• The Emotionally Abused Woman - Overcoming Destructive Patterns & Reclaiming Yourself
• Where To Draw The Line - How to Set Healthy Boundaries Every Day
• Everything Self Esteem - Boost Your Confidence, Achieve Inner Strength, and Learn to Love Yourself
• StrengthFinder 2.0 - Discovering your strengths and making them work for you
• Health & Fitness - Exercise classes, and learn about healthy eating…..possible cooking classes

Classes will last approximately 2 hours each.  The classes will be for different lengths of time – meaning that they will be set in a life group atmosphere – learning and talking with each other as we go through the chapters – open discussions and working through how to make it work in their lives.  The classes will be completed during the time of housing assistance.
